Cheese tasting - included in your stay

Campo Sasso has a cheese cave where we age cheeses for our cheese & wine bar in Florence. We are happy to have you visit with a complimentary cheese tasting right at Campo Sasso. LOCATION: Campo Sasso DURATION: 1 hr

Olive Oil tasting - included in your stay

Campo Sasso has a small olive grove. Have a walk among the olive trees and do a guided olive oil tasting. Learn why olive oil is such an important staple in the Mediterranean diet. LOCATION: Campo Sasso DURATION: 0.5 hr

Full-day guided wine tour with Grape Tours

Let us (Grape Tours) pick you up and take you on a full day guided wine & food adventure. You can choose between the region of Chianti Classico (focus on red wines) and we'll take you through the region to see it's villages, castles, lovely wineries and enjoy a fantastic lunch at one of our favorite spots. If you are more curious about white wines, let us take you to San Gimignano where we can enjoy walking around this famous medieval village with its 13 towers. We will stop in a couple of the best wineries and have a delicious lunch. LOCATION: We pick you up at Campo Sasso DURATION: 7-8 hrs PARTICIPANTS: Min 4 people

Dinner in the vineyard

During the warm summer months, one of the magic moments is the vineyard dinners that are available close by. LOCATION: Figline Val d'Arno (20 minutes drive) DURATION: 2.5 hrs N.B. Please notice that this experience is only offered during the warmer summer months from mid June until mid September.

Go truffle hunting

Join a local truffle hunter and his highly trained dogs to look for truffles in the forest and enjoy lunch together. This experience is offered as a join-in experience (max 10 people) and is confirmed with a minimum of 4. LOCATION: Bagno a Ripoli (25 minute drive) DURATION: 3 hrs

In-house cooking class

Learn with a local chef and prepare a Tuscan meal whilst learning about Tuscany's peasant cuisine. Then enjoy the fruits of your hard labor. LOCATION: Campo Sasso DURATION: 2.5 hrs PARTICIPANTS: Min 4 people

Go for a panoramic hike & wine tasting

Go for a loop hike which will take you to some of the most panoramic points and you will learn about the flora and fauna of Chianti Classico. Stop in at an organic winery with a tour & tasting. This is a great hike and it can be done on foot (one needs to be capable of hiking 3 miles on uneven terrain with good trainers) directly from Campo Sasso. If you prefer to just do the winery visit, it's just a few minutes drive to the winery. LOCATION: Campo Sasso DURATION: 2 hrs

Visit a pasta maker

Visit one of Tuscany's most famous small pasta producers and learn all the secrets of artisanal pasta making from flour to production. LOCATION: Strada in Chianti (10 minutes drive) DURATION: 1.5 hr

Visit an award-winning olive mill

You can learn how olive oil is made at a super modern and award-winning olive mill. Taste different monocultivars just a few minutes from Campo Sasso (this is where we crush our olives to produce our Campo Sasso olive oil). LOCATION: San Polo in Chianti (5 minutes drive) DURATION: 1.5 hrs

Visit a coffee roastery

Learn about Italian coffee culture at a local coffee roastery and see how coffee gets roasted. Prepare and taste espresso the Italian way. This experience is in the outskirts of Florence and fits well with a trip into town to visit museums, go shopping, etc. LOCATION: Florence (half an hours drive) DURATION: 1 hr
