Campo Sasso is best suited for people who embrace slow travel and who love to experience a place in-depth. It's especially for folks who love food and wine and are eager to gain inspiration from like-minded locals in Tuscany.
A Tuscan House Made for Living
A colonica was traditionally the main farmhouse of a Tuscan agricultural estate: a stone house where farming families lived close to the land they cultivated. Campo Sasso retains this sense of simplicity, solidity and connection to place.
Rather than creating a formal holiday property, Pierre and Rebecca wanted Campo Sasso to feel like a real home — a place where guests can cook, gather around the table, open a bottle of wine, spend time outdoors and settle naturally into the rhythm of the Tuscan countryside.
The house extends over two floors, with the shared living spaces on the ground floor and the three bedrooms above. It is rented only as an entire property, ensuring complete privacy throughout the stay.
The Heart of the House
The ground floor is organised around a generous kitchen, dining room and living area. These connected spaces form the heart of Campo Sasso and have been designed for the moments that define a shared holiday: preparing breakfast together, returning from the market with local ingredients, enjoying a long dinner or relaxing at the end of the day.
The fully equipped kitchen allows guests to cook independently throughout their stay or welcome a private chef for a meal prepared at the house. The dining table seats up to eight people, while the adjoining living room provides a comfortable space for reading, conversation and quiet evenings at home.

The covered outdoor dining area provides a welcoming place for breakfast, lunch or long evening meals. Guests can cook on the grill, relax in the garden or enjoy the jacuzzi after a day exploring Florence and Chianti Classico.
The property is located in a quiet natural valley bordered by the Ema stream. From autumn to spring, the sound of flowing water becomes part of the atmosphere of the house.

The Freedom of a Private Home
Campo Sasso is offered as a self-catering private home, giving guests the freedom to organise each day according to their own rhythm. It is not a hotel and does not offer individual room rentals.
For guests who would like additional comfort, optional services can be arranged, including daily housekeeping, in-house chef services and personalised assistance in planning food, wine and local experiences.
These services are available upon request and at an additional cost, allowing each stay to combine the privacy of an independent home with the level of support guests prefer.
