2024 at Campo Sasso: A Year of Dreams, Growth, and Unforgettable Moments

Updated: Dec 30, 2024

What an unforgettable year at Campo Sasso—full of transformation, milestones, and cherished moments!

The year began with a flurry of finishing touches on what was still a construction site. But soon, Campo Sasso blossomed into the dream we had quietly nurtured for so long.

In April, we were beyond excited to see our journey featured in the 6-episode series Fixer to Fabulous. Sharing Campo Sasso’s story with the world was a surreal and proud moment for us.

By June, we opened our doors to our very first guests. What followed was an incredible season of meeting extraordinary people from around the globe and sharing our little corner of Tuscany with them.

Summer brought even more joy and excitement. In August, we threw our very first Cheese & BBQ party—a delicious celebration that brought together great food, laughter, and good company.

We also transformed our kitchen into a studio for What’s Cookin’ at Campo Sasso. Chef friends joined us to choose cheeses from our cellar and create mouthwatering dishes that we got to taste afterward. You can watch these episodes on our blog and YouTube channel, where we continue to share recipes, stories, and moments from life at Campo Sasso.

Autumn flew by in a whirlwind of activity. With Campo Sasso fully booked, the property was alive with guests enjoying the magic of fall in Tuscany. At the same time, it was one of our busiest wine tour seasons yet! Grape Tours took wine lovers on unforgettable adventures through Tuscany and beyond, with trips to Veneto and Sicily showcasing the richness of Italian winemaking.

As November arrived, so did the olive harvest—an annual highlight. Producing our own olive oil is always a special moment, a taste of Tuscany captured in every bottle.

I made sure our Wine Club was all ready to be shipped, meanwhile, Pierre dove into a new project: building a cozy chicken coop. By Christmas, five colorful chickens and 1black rooster had moved in, adding even more life to Campo Sasso.

2024 was truly a year of growth, joy, and gratitude. Here’s to more adventures and wonderful moments to come—maybe even with you here in Tuscany! 🌿
